You'll all be happy to know that The Meemz is feeling much better! She even went to Red Lobster with The Suze and Robin last week for her birthday. She loves Red Lobster, but not as much as she loves the FBI.
The Meemz also loves pictures and photo albums. She loves to write short novels on the backs of pictures. Just the other day I got some mail from TM that consisted of 4 snap shots, each with a great deal of information written on the back. The best part is that the information is not always correct. For instance, one of the pictures she sent me is a picture taken of Papa and me at their 40th anniversary party. According to TM that picture was taken on Easter at their house in The Woods. In reality, that picture was taken in December 2003. TM and Papa moved out of their house in The Woods when I was maybe 4 or 5. I'm 22 in this picture. Yep.
To my knowledge the information on the other pictures was correct, but still entertaining. One of the pictures was of The Suze when she was about 2. I learned not only where the picture was taken (Nanny & Papaw's house on Fitzgerald Street), but also who made the doll she's holding in the picture (Aunt Marg) and what that person called The Suze (My Sweet Little Susie). I also learned the dolls' name- Peggy. You can't put a price tag on that kind of background info. It is priceless.
On more than one occasion TM has pulled all of her photo albums out and had the pictures spread all over the floor of her apartment at Dogwood. She says that she is "organizing" them. Sure you are Meemz...
The Meemz also likes to make little notations in cookbooks and novels. She thinks it is quite important that everyone know who gave her each recipe and if she has made any changes to it since she started using it. It is also very important to know who gave novels to whom and in what year this was done. It's really great when a recipe is from another family member because then The Meemz puts not only their name but also their familial title. For example- This recipe was given to me by my sister-in-law, Vivian Dekle. Just in case any of us forgets who Aunt Vivian is.
